Updating the Default Page Layout for Pages Across Different Subsites

Overview

As part of your Bonzai Intranet, you may have different subsites in addition to the main site. This article provides information on changing the default page layout for all new pages across all your subsites.

 

Solution

Follow the steps below to set a specific page layout as the default layout for pages on your subsite. 

Note: It is not possible to apply these settings simultaneously across multiple subsites. Follow the instructions below for each subsite to change their default page layout.
  1. Navigate to the Setting Gear > Site settings.
  2. Under the “Look and Feel” section, click Page layouts and site templates.

  3. Scroll down to Page Layouts.
    1. Verify whether the layout you wish to set as the default layout for the pages on the subsite appears within the right panel.
    2. If it is not:
      1. Select the layout in the left panel.
      2. Click Add so that it appears in the right panel.

  4. Under New Page Default Settings, click Select the default page layout option and select the layout that you wish to set as the default page layout.

  5. Click OK to save.
