Overview

When you search for a file and try to open the corresponding link, it fails to open even though the file is in the Document Library. You find that documents with the pound sign (#) are not opening via the search link.

Solution

The pound sign (#) is causing the issue when opening the hyperlink from search.

• Remove the # character and the document can be opened from search.
