Overview

You used the ShareGate tool to copy pages from your Prod Intranet (Bonzai 1.6) to QA Intranet (Bonzai 2.2).  During the migration, ShareGate displayed the below warning message and the page images look incorrect after migration. Images are defaulting to a header size instead of the original size and renditions do not appear on images on the new site that were present on the old. You are using SharePoint 2016. The QA Intranet was recently upgraded from v2.0 to v2.2. Blob cache is enabled.

Solution

1. Please review the following articles:

• How to enable image renditions on SharePoint 2019
2. Download the SharePoint 2013 page layouts. These layouts can be used in SharePoint 2016.
3. Log in to SharePoint and open the site settings.
4. Open the Master Pages and Page Layouts administration page.
5. Create a backup copy of the current page layout files (e.g. BonzaiNewsPage.aspx. You may have to open the Bonzai folder to locate the page layout.
6. Upload the new page layouts that were downloaded.
7. Publish new major versions for the new page layouts by right-clicking it and publish a major version.

Testing

Check to see if the images are now display correctly. 

If you continue to experience issues, contact Bonzai Support and send the following information:

• Create a HAR file of the page during its failure state by following the article "Generating HAR file for troubleshooting". 
• Provide a copy of the source news page and the page experiencing the failure
• Provide log files from the Sharegate copy 
• Confirm if this is the only page copied using Sharegate. If not, are other pages are experiencing similar issues
